Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Whether you can get a refund depends on the fare rules of the ticket you booked, which are shown before you pay and in your confirmation. This page explains how refunds and cancellations work for bookings made through GoodForOneFare.
Refunds at a glance
| Situation | What applies |
|---|---|
| Airline cancels or significantly changes your flight and you do not accept the alternative | Refund of the unused ticket under US DOT rules for flights to, from or within the US |
| You cancel a refundable fare | Refund under the fare rules, minus any fees shown in those rules |
| You cancel a non-refundable fare | No cash refund; some airlines give a credit for future travel, subject to their rules |
| You do not show up for a flight | Usually no refund, and the rest of the ticket may be cancelled |
| Cancellation shortly after booking | Depends on the airline’s rules; ask us immediately |
The 24-hour rule
US Department of Transportation rules require airlines to let you cancel without penalty within 24 hours of booking, or hold the fare, when the booking is made at least seven days before departure. If you need to cancel soon after booking, contact us right away so we can request it from the airline within its window.
How to request a refund or cancellation
- Email [email protected] with your booking reference and the lead traveler’s last name.
- We confirm what the fare rules allow and any fees before we act.
- Once you approve, we submit the request to the airline.
How long refunds take
Once the airline approves a refund, it is returned to the original payment method. Card refunds typically appear within 7 business days of processing, depending on your bank.
Service fees
Any GoodForOneFare service fee is shown before payment. Whether it is refundable is stated with the fee.
